Fire pump sets

Some buildings have their own fire pump set on the hydrant or sprinkler system, usually in a pump room of its own. We do fire pump set maintenance and installs.

The standards we work to

AS 1851-2012

Routine service of fire protection systems and equipment

The Australian Standard behind our routine servicing: the annual inspections and flow tests, the five yearly services and the hose reel checks.

AS 1851-2012 at Standards Australia

AS 2419.1

Fire hydrant installations: system design, installation and commissioning

The Australian Standard for hydrant systems. We install hydrant systems to it and do the commission testing.

AS 2419.1 at Standards Australia

Hydrants, sprinklers and hose reels are usually listed on a NSW building's fire safety schedule, and each measure on it is assessed by an accredited practitioner (fire safety) for the owner's annual fire safety statement. Servicing kept on its cycle through the year means nothing is left for statement time.

Common questions

How often do hydrants and sprinklers need servicing?

Each gets an annual inspection from us, and both get a five yearly service on top. Which measures your building must keep, and to what standard, is set out on its fire safety schedule.

Can you fix or change what a test turns up?

We do fire hydrant installs and alterations, fire pump set maintenance and installs, and commercial fit off alterations. If a test has turned up a fault, call us and we'll work out the repair with you.

Do you work on strata buildings?

Yes. We service, test and install fire systems on strata and commercial buildings.

What if a system fails outside business hours?

Ring 0474 659 574 at any hour: we're open 24 hours, 7 days. The emergency page says what to do first for each kind of fault.
